Kickback is a keyword mechanic found primarily on Council cards, but also occurs on neutral cards. Kickback reads, “Kickback (After you recruit this Character during your turn, you may play an additional Action or card with Hidden this turn.)” Kickback is a mechanic that triggers after you recruit the character. It doesn’t matter where it is recruited from (your hand, trash or deck).

If a card like Filibuster has multiple Kickbacks, you get one additional play per Kickback. The player is responsible to keep track of how many plays they currently have per turn as it is entirely possible for a player to have many Kickbacks trigger in a single turn. These plays must be used during the current turn or they are forfeited when the turn is passed.
